Cainiao establishes cross-border logistics network for six Middle Eastern Gulf countries

News2025-06-23
On June 23rd, Cainiao made significant progress in the construction of its global logistics network: it has established a cross-border logistics network for exchanging packages among the six Middle Eastern Gulf countries, fully supporting cross-border and local e-commerce logistics delivery, and can be delivered in as fast as 3 days. The six Middle Eastern Gulf countries (GCC) include the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

This is a major breakthrough for Cainiao in G2G (global to global, transportation and distribution between countries) logistics service capabilities, in addition to serving China's global import and export as well as local distribution in key overseas markets. It is also an important milestone for Chinese logistics companies to move towards globalization. Among a group of Chinese overseas enterprises, Cainiao is the first global logistics company to connect the six countries in the Middle East and the Gulf for mutual express delivery.

Relying on a global parcel network built in over 200 countries and regions, Cainiao has launched a multi-level time efficient product matrix in the Middle East to meet the different needs of cross-border e-commerce going global to the Middle East and local e-commerce platforms. Cainiao's G2G logistics service in the six countries of the Middle East and Gulf can meet the customized logistics needs of local e-commerce platforms and cross-border e-commerce sellers. With a centralized stocking and regional distribution model, it comprehensively reduces cross-border logistics costs and helps merchants enhance their competitiveness in the local market.

Specifically, the combination of "air freight fast delivery+land freight high cost-effectiveness" flexibly meets market demand: efficient air freight can reach within 3 days at the fastest; Economic land transportation can reach the entire region in 6-8 days, with an average delivery time of 5 days in first tier cities. The average shipping cost per kilogram is 1 US dollar lower than the market average, which can basically achieve "one cup of coffee" shipping between the Middle East.
